Thanksgiving long weekend, what do we do? We had thought of going for a movie with Iris and Leia, but that didn't pan out. So we decided to go watch a musical instead, and spend the afternoon downtown. After ordering in some hk style breakfast, we get ready and make our way downtown. We see that the Sukoshi pop-up is still happening at the Eaton Centre, so lets go for a visit.

Time surprisingly flies by, cause next thing you know, it was about time to grab dinner. We swing by the theatre first to pick up our tickets (not sure why they didn't issue us the tickets digitally like they usually do), and then decide to stay close by so we don't have to waste time walking. Our original plan was to go for Yakiniku Legend, but that turned out to be a 25 min walk each way. Really limits eating time, and even worse if we need to wait for a seat. We found an AYCE sushi place across the street, and they had a decent cooked food assortment as well (for Wincy).

The hostess got us to wait a bit, as a window seat was freeing up. This was a really nice table with couch style seating, and a nice view overseeing Dundas Square. The food was quite good here, and I got my fix of raw fish 😋. As we were nearing the end of our dinner, we started to notice something happening at street level. Looks like a pro-Palestine protest was moving in.

Police presence was quite, ready. Many cops on standby, and even had a dozen horses there.
Anyways, it's musical time!

I get my CAA coffee, then into the theatre we go.

We had heard good things about this musical, but it wasn't quite our style. It was loosely based on the upbringing of Alicia Keys in New York. It may have been due to us watching Aladdin just 2 weeks ago, or the people that sat in front of us blocking our view.
As we're approaching home though, a little bit of excitement! We see a small fire from the side of the road. It was in a park/playground, but we still thought to call 9-1-1 anyways. As we're calling, another neighbour pulls up, and turns out the fire was in the playground sand. They put out the fire by kicking more sand on in, but the fire department wanted to come out to ensure it was fully extinguished anyways. Another neighbour stayed to wait for the the fire department, so we took off.
