Going to our second game of the Blue Jays 2026 season, and in hopes of getting a George Spring Bobblehead. Bit of a spoiler in the feature pic, but We Got It!

Let’s back up a bit though. This is a Friday game that starts at 7:07pm. As I’m sitting at the office, we glance out the window at around 2:30 - 2:45, and we were surprised to see quite the line already.

Were people really THAT crazy for the bobblehead? We didn’t think it would be that crazy for a Friday evening game. This started to make me nervous, but I still had some things I needed to get done before I could head out to line up. By the time I could get out to line up, I couldn’t believe that the line for gates 1/2 was already beyond the bridge.

I thought I’d try my luck though, and checkout the line for the TD Priority gate. This was a no go! The area looked like a disaster, so I went back for gates 1/2. By the time I got back, I couldn’t believe it. From my spot in line, I was almost back at Front St.

The day has already had many surprises, but this line would continue to bring new surprises as time progressed. It was only 3:45 at this point, and I already thought the line was nuts. Even crazier, we were hearing from others in line, that they saw people in line as early as 11:30am! For a BOBBLEHEAD! Not 30 mins later, and my line had well disappeared down Front Street.

At around 4:30pm, Wincy was able to leave the office, and I had another look back

Not sure if you can make it out, but can you see that line swinging back towards the right? That’s not my line! That’s the line from Gates 13/14/15! Just for reference on gate locations for perspective, here’s a copy of the gate map & my assumption of what that line looked like. I was standing around the yellow J on the map. Nuts eh?

Then I turn around, and start seeing this.

And moments later,

What a nutty day!
Well it’s now 5pm. Wincy found her way into a line down by Ripley’s Aquarium, with little chance of getting a bobblehead. But mine line started to move, and pretty quick too!

I got my bobblehead! And also secured a great spot for us on the WestJet Flight Deck! I got into the stadium, with a spot for the game by 5:30pm. Considering the lines, not bad. 30 mins later, Wincy finally made it in!

Turns out, she had taken a detour to pick up a couple of burgers for us 😛

The game was about to start, but not before George Spring was presented with his 2025 Silver Slugger Award!

The game started pretty rough. The Twins scored 3 runs in the first inning of the game. From here, you could hear the lack of energy/depression through the stadium. The 4th inning didn’t start well either, as the Twins brought in another to score. But in the bottom of the 4th, the Blue Jays turned it all around. The energy level at the Roger’s Centre instantly went from 0 to 100! SPOILER ALERT! The energy level remained there for the rest of the game! Cause we won!

And time for the winning sportsmanship! The Blue Jays new catcher, Brandon Valenzuela was the game MVP! His home run not only started the momentum in the 4th inning, but it was also his first major league home run! And what does the MVP get? A Vladdy Gatorade dump!
Another fantastic Blue Jays game! Hopefully our streak continues! Both games we’ve attended in 2026 was extremely energetic and resulted in Blue Jays winning!
