Musical day with Kinvon! Tonight, we’re watching the Sound of Music. Yvonne told us about some cheap tickets for the show, in seats with partial obstructions. Did our best to research how much of an obstruction it would be, and we decided to go for it. This would be another action packed day with Kinvon!
We started our day downtown, with lunch at Matt’s Burgerlab. This was my usual Wednesday lunch spot, where they had some great smash burgers.

Then followed up with a round of roller skating at Union Station. In the winter, they turn this lower section of Union Station into a roller skating loop for people to enjoy. It‘s a free event, and even includes free rentals. The rentals weren’t comfortable, but it was still a fun experience. Rollerskating is very different from roller blading. Couldn’t get used to it, but still had a great time.

Next up on the itinerary, took us to the Eaton Centre to visit the Tim Horton’s pop-up shop.

Then this other shop which sold gaming merchandise. This shop had a big slot machine, and they were offering a free spin if you completed a survey. We each did the survey, and each won a Pokémon card. We were unfortunately 1 or 2 spins too early, as a kid shortly after us, won the jackpot! It was a rare Pokémon card.

After the Eaton Centre, it was time to head back to grab some dinner. We had decided to go to Hello Nori, as Wincy, Yvonne and Kinson each had a $10 voucher that could be used. As we arrived however, we unfortunately learned that the voucher was for sit in only, and they had a pretty lengthy line. So we decided to order take-out, and eat at my office. My office was conveniently located very close to the theatre, so it allowed us to eat peacefully, and close by. While we were waiting for our food, Wincy asked if it was possible to order just 1 item, or if there was a minimum. To our surprise, they said there was no minimum, and there was actually a single seat that was open.

Shortly after she sat down, our take out order was ready. So the 3 of us went back to my office first, and Wincy would come back to meet us after she was done her freebie. It was getting close to showtime, so we had to do this for efficiency. She eventually made it back to us, while we still had some sushi left 😜

Now time to head to the show

And our seats weren’t too bad. Only a tad bit was cut off, but if we leaned against the rail, the view was quick good.

It was a fantastic show!
