Lets head into town, and explore! To get there, we're off to the bus stop again.
Forgot to take a pic of the route yesterday, but here is our way down the hill to get there. Fortunately we found this "shortcut". saved us quite a bit of walking being able to cut between these two streets easily

Great views from town. We can now see that we're at the base of the mountain

And as we're finding a spot for lunch, we also find the Cookie Time shop. So obviously, we need to take some pics

We finally make it to our lunch spot, and we're lucky! The spot is called Fergburger, and it's a pretty popular burger spot in Queenstown. The night before, the line here was crazy! Wasn't too bad for us, maybe 30 mins or so.

Fergburger honestly wasn't that good though. Probably too much hype.
Now I mentioned in yesterdays blog, that it was still really nice out. And I'm also still wearing just a hoodie. But you made notice others wearing some bigger coats. That's because our next activity is Skyline! We're going up the mountain!

We grab our tickets, and time to ride the gondola! We decided to split up into 2 gondola's. There weren't many people going up, so why not. And it gives us more space to move around and take pictures

We're headed to the top, so most of us can take part in another activity. It's called the Queenstown Skyline Luge. Mom wasn't taking part in the activity, but we got her to try the virtual version. She looked pretty stressed

I think after the virtual run, she was happy she didn't sign up for the real thing
So the reason why we wore thicker jackets today, it's much colder up here. Not only were we going to enjoy some time of the Skyline Luge, but of course there were the photo ops up here.

We then went over the the luge area, and got outfitted with our helmets

Up the chairlift we go!

And oops, Uncle2 caused a bit of a traffic jam at the bottom of the course 😅
Much better on our subsequent runs!
After we're done the activity, we head back to the chalet area, and found Mom and Auntie2 with a great spot.

Went and checked out the gift shop

Then started to make our way back down. We took the gondola down with mom this time, so we could take some pics with her too.

New Zealand is well known for a particular breed of oyster called Bluff Oysters. We we at the end of the season, which made it tough to find a place that still had any stock. We tried a spot in this town, and unfortunately they were also out. We still decided to get some oysters though, to enjoy before dinner.

For dinner, we went to this small Italian restaurant. We were lucky, they were barley able to accommodate us, although we had to sit at 2 separate tables. The tables were back to back though, so we were able to order a couple dishes for us to share.

And we can't end the night without some ice cream!

This place also had the interesting tap, where if you ordered one of their popsicle style desserts, could also get it coated in your choice of chocolate
As we got back to the AirBnB, it was impossible not to notice the amount of stars in the sky. Was quite difficult to capture in a pic though, but here's a decent attempt
