Day 2 started in search of some caffeine. Despite our long travel day, we were up pretty early. We did a quick search on Google Maps, and found a couple of coffee shops nearby, and so we began our day. Upon leaving the AirBnb, we discovered that we were living right next to Omicho Market. With this, it didn't take long to find coffee 😄. While we wanted to go to Higeshide Coffee, it was unfortunately closed that day. We had a look at other shops nearby, and we decided to buy an iced coffee from Kanazawa Coffee.

While sipping on our iced coffee, we started walking around Omicho market. This is a great way to work up an appetite. Not just from the steps, but the aroma from walking by all the shops makes you hungry. We finally decided to eat at this one shop, and their sashimi was SO fresh!

Although we just finished (an early) lunch, we still felt like trying more. Within Omicho market, is a supermarket kind of shop. Here, we bought some tuna sashimi and wagyu beef nigiri.

Although we were getting full, we found this place that had a variety of croquettes, along with a lengthy line. Of course, we joined the line to grab one for ourselves to try.

And despite attempting to leave Omicho market multiple times, we kept finding more food to try. This time, it was Mr. Donut. Although is this a chain donut shop, they had some special matcha donuts that caught our attention. Sadly, it wasn't that good

It took a while to finally leave Omicho Market, but we finally started doing some sightseeing. We found our way to the first sight, which was Kanazawa Castle

Although cherry blossom season was over for the most part, we still got to catch some

Unfortunately from here, it started to rain. Luckily we planned for this, and had rain jackets & umbrella's packed

After exploring the castle for a while, it was closing time. This meant we had to save the Kenroku-en garden for the next day. We decided to head back to our AirBnB first, while we decide what to have for dinner. Luckily, the AirBnB was in a really central location. On the way back to the AirBnB though, we found snacks 😋

We decided to eat at a place recommended to us by Ada, named Uogashi Syokudo. She mentioned to us that the place gets very busy though, so we were taking a chance. Arriving at the restaurant at around 7pm however, was apparently far too late. The restaurant already had a very long waiting list. Long enough that they stopped accepting additional names. After wandering the area & searching google maps for another place to eat, we found ourselves at a small supermarket at Kanazawa Stations 2nd level. As it was end of day for them, they were clearing out their prepared foods, which made our day 😄
