As we head out to start day 3, we begin with a quick walk through Bic Camera. We Got out of Shinjuku station, and had to find our way around. So naturally in this heat, we wanted some air conditioning. As I was trying to find out which direction to head in, I find Wincy a little, stuck 😅

When she finally finished her massages, we start heading towards the restaurant. For lunch today, we’re going to Gyukatsu Motomura. Funny story here! As we approach the area of the restaurant, we see a line and assumed that it was for the restaurant. All the reviews said there was always a line, and it led to the front door of a restaurant. So we join the line, which is fully in the sun. Zero shade! After standing in the line, Wincy decides to go to the front, just to double check that we were lining up for the right place. We were NOT! So we move to the correct line, which was actually much shorter and with shade. Turns out, we weren’t the only ones. The girls that were lined up behind us in the other line, showed up behind us in the Gyukatsu line shortly after 😛. The wait was still a good 30 - 40 mins for a table here, but it was well worth the wait.

We then ended up in the Ikebukuro area, and entered and walked around a department store for a bit. It was a really hot day, so going in and out of shops was a must! While at the department store, we founds ourselves in the middle of a Hokkaido festival. Hokkaido is known for their very fresh seafood, and so naturally, it was time to eat again. Just look at how fresh the uni (Sea Urchin) looked! We also grabbed some minced tuna and minced shrimp rolls (Hokkaido style apparently). These were SO good!

Then after, we found some dessert before leaving

After all this eating, it was time to do some walking/shopping. Needed to build up our appetite before dinner. We found ourselves at a local Book Off. This turned out to be a pretty big shopping spot size wise. Our collection of stuffies on this trip was growing fast! This Book Off resulted in a giant Purin, a Crayon Shinchan, and a Pikachu.

After dropping off our new toys at home, it was time for dinner. For tonight, we found a Yakitori spot where every item is 370yen (approx $3 cad with the exchange rate at the time)
