Today, we start the day at Ben’s brunch spot. While we waited for a table, a couple of us wandered over to check out the beach

And once we got our table, we started with some drinks. Caffeine is always needed in the morning! Ada must’ve been craving though, cause this was the only picture we got of her drink

Luckily, me and Ben also ordered that same drink 😜

And here’s the green drink that was ordered

Brunch was great. Had some shrimp scampi, and a great burger!

And in typical vacation style, one meal isn’t enough right? So we went and grabbed a couple burgers from a local hot spot

We were doing a family BBQ tonight. Ben & Vincent had this fantastic idea to buy some tomahawk steaks! And of course, we had to stop at Pak’n’Save again! We went there nightly during this trip. For some reason, we left Pak’n’Save with 3 shopping carts

We bought and prepped the tomahawk steaks, along with a bunch of wings, the day before the wedding. Today however, we went around Auckland to try and buy a sous vide. We went to half a dozen shops, and none of them sold sous videos. When we asked the staff, they all recommended Amazon. Funny thing about Amazon in New Zealand, is they don’t have Amazon Prime like we have. Everything is from Australia. Even if Amazon prime were an option, we needed that sous vide today! Upon giving up, Ada decides to take the lead and call Jack for advice on how to cook/handle the tomahawks. Jack‘s advice… “Jonny is there! He’ll know how to handle them!”. Thanks for the faith Jack 😛 Was a bit tough, as I didn’t know the grill, but managed to handle it.

Barbecuing such big steaks though, it takes a while. Great opportunity for us all to hangout outside, chill, and play with Milo and the electric scooter! Even mom took a quick ride on the electric scooter.

Of course, dinner wasn’t just the 2 steaks. Also had home made char siu, chicken wings, and other goodies

abut a BBQ isn’t complete without roasting some marshmallows

And to top off the night, the night sky was so clear and full of stars!

Unfortunately for me & Wincy, this was going to be our final night in Auckland. The next morning, many of us were flying to Queenstown, New Zealand.
