Auckland - Day 5

We started Day 5 with a hike at Mt.Eden

Was a beautiful day for a hike. And did I mention, it’s winter here?

When we reached the top of Mt.Eden, Vincent brought out one of his new toys for us to play with. He attached his camera to a really long selfie stick, which we passed around to take a 360 degree video of our surroundings. We later discovered that with our several 360’s of the camera, he never started the recording. But at least we still have a lot of great photos

After Mt.Eden, went into downtown Auckland to grab some afternoon snacks

Followed by drinks and cake in the Sky Tower for Auntie2’s birthday! She liked our cake choices very much!

We also grabbed other cakes and drinks to share

After enjoying the cakes, we went outside to walk around a bit before leaving for our dinner reservation. Took a group picture with the tower. Similar, but not as tall as the CN Tower.

Then off we go to dinner. But, someone fell asleep in the car again?

Arriving at the restaurant, we were making out way to our table, when Ben’s friend came over and said he managed to get us a room. It’s like he knew that would make Auntie2 very happy! After settling in, we went with Ben to go check out the selection of live seafood
