Wine Yard day on Oneroa, Waiheke Island
Day 4, we’re all being treated to a cruise to Oneroa, Waiheke Island. This is a popular island near Auckland, and known for their number of high quality vineyards. For being winter in New Zealand, honestly can’t tell! It was a great day for a boat ride.

Despite it being winter, many of us rode on the upper deck and enjoyed the ride. After arriving on the island, we took a group picture, before splitting up to walk around the small town for a bit, while waiting for the rides Simon & Anya arranged to get us to the vineyards.

First stop was a vineyard named Mudbricks. This is where they had made reservations for us to have lunch. The location was beautiful. We arrived a bit early, and so we got to roam and explore the vineyard a bit, before settling in for lunch. Did a forget to say, it’s winter in New Zealand? The grass here seems greener in the winter, than our grass in the middle of summer 😝

The lunch setup was great, and had a nice private spot on the second level of the venue

Had a great lunch!

Then, we lost Ben? Nope, found him!

After lunch, heading to the next stop! Cable Bay Vineyard.

And, Ada’s an alcoholic?

Just kidding, we’re sharing!

After enjoying our flight at Cable Bay, it was time to head back to the mainland. Was a beautiful ride back, but it definitely got cooler.

Or at least, it was substantially windier!
We did manage to take a sane photo before we taking off.

After getting back from the Oneroa, Simon and Anya took us around for some local goodies. Started off with some award winning meat pies

And also some coffee at a local cafe

And you wouldn’t believe what we came here to get

Chances are, you’re wrong! But it’s fresh seafood!

After dinner, we decided to open some chips to try. We opened, all of them! Auntie was not impressed 😜
